This information provides an overview of the development toolset that is available to easily extend the Mentor Enterprise system.

 

We are pleased to be able to offer our customers the ability to extend the  functionality of Mentor using Webfuser, a content management and web development  environment available to all customers through a  partnershipwith Inuvia Technologies  Corp.  Webfuser offers the most functional in-place web design environment offered in the market today. With support for text, image, file and web content, process workflow, multiple languages, security, document management and SQL databases, Webfuserprovides a single, comprehensive solution to managing your enterprise web, document and structured  information holdings.

 

Collaborative workflow-based processes can be automated within days with no development tools and no programming thanks to a revolutionary design interface embedded within the  site.  Web designers and application developers can take advantage of the 4  skins supplied or design a custom look-and-feel.

The intuitive in-place configuration tool creates grids and forms based on the database tables, views or custom queries of SQLServer, Oracle, MSAccess, XML or any ODBC-compliant data source. User access and permissions can be assigned at the site, page, form, row  or cell level allowing the site designer the flexibility to control the ability for users to view, contribute and edit, and administer the site's  content.

 

All content properties can be  specified for each language the site will support. This allows the site to  generate a view of its content for each of several dozen languages without  having to build multiple sites.  Since all content properties are available in each language setting, subtle differences such as field size and date and currency formats can be introduced, again without custom scripting.
